We are pleased to announce that this year we are participating in the annual Mission Christmas campaign, run by registered charity ‘Cash for Kids’. Each year the charity raises money and collects toys and clothes for distribution to disadvantaged children in the UK in time for Christmas. The appeal aims to ensure that every child has a gift to open on Christmas Day and, for some, the items that have been kindly donated by local businesses and individuals could be the only gifts they receive.
On behalf of us all at Gilbert & Cleveland, our very own Santa Claus (managing partner Clive), has made a stop at one of the designated drop off points with dozens of toys for the charity. Along with the other donations received, they will be shared amongst the organisations that Cash for Kids work with and given to children within the local community who need them most. As well as toys, the charity also accepts clothing and wrapping paper but no food items and all donations must be brand new with labels intact.
In order to process the donations, wrap them and distribute them in time for The Big Day, the drop off points for toys and clothes are now closed however, a ‘final sweep’ of them will be done in January and any late donations will be kept for the year ahead. For those wanting to purchase an item to donate but who aren’t sure what to get, there’s an Amazon Wish List of things to choose from (viewable via the link on their website), catering for children of all ages who receive support from the charity.
